So, today is the birthday of the woman who made me who I am. The woman who inspired me to write and write and write, to create my own stories. The woman who introduced me to this wonderful, amazing fandom. Who introduced me to so many of my friends. The creator of The Boy Who Lived. The Chosen One. Mister Harry Potter.
I owe Jo Rowling so much, and I would give just about anything to be able to tell her how much she means to me. How much she has changed and formed me, and inspired me. How she is such a fantastic role model. But, that's not likely - at least, not in the near future. So, this blog will have to do for now.
Happy Birthday Jo. I think RiddleTM said it best:
Enchanted the world with a story you wrote of a boy who was ordinary
and now parents read to children who have long been asleep,
cus they want to know more about wizard Harry.
How far you have come.
How far you have come.
So Miss Rowling, here is a song I wrote for you.
I'm grateful for all that you've taught me
and inspired me to do.
You showed me good triumphs over evil
and you taught the whole world how to read.
So thank you Miss JK Rowling.
Thank you so much for Harry."
